I would like to propose the creation of a newsgroup called
rec.arts.books.childrens
Why this newsgroup?
The amount of traffic on rec.arts.books is getting very heavy. I note
after reading it for several weeks that the volume of postings
specifically regarding children's books is sufficient that it would merit
a seperate group, and thereby also reduce traffic on rec.arts.books to a
more managable level. Also, children's books are a legitimate area for
discussion on their own merits. We're not talking kiddie lit here. I
envision the tenor of the discussion would be similar to what is currently
seen on rec.arts.books. I am open to discussion of any variation of the
name and a charter. It's time to give children's books their due on the
net.
