My Connection is slower than normal?

Answer

We offer a variety of ports for your downloading purposes. If you are experiencing slowness, you should first try changing the port you are downloading through and see if the problem is resolved. Often, changing the port will change the routing through the internet and increase your connection speed.


Standard Routing Ports for NORTH AMERICAN SERVER:

The following ports allow you to force packets through specific ports:

  • port(s): 7000 routing: ServerCentral (path1)
  • port(s): 8000 routing: Cogent (path1)
  • port(s): 9000 routing: BtN (path1)

    The following ports allow you to force packets through specific ports:
  • europe.newsdemon.com port(s): 119, 443, 8080
  • useast.newsdemon.com port(s): 119, 443
  • us-secure.newsdemon.com * (THIS IS 256-BIT ENCRYPTED) port(s): 563 and 80
  • europe-ssl.newsdemon.com * (THIS IS 256-BIT ENCRYPTED) port(s): 443, 563, and 8080

    The following ports allow you to force packets through specific ports:
