Header
The header is the article information for your post. The header usually contains the author's name, email address, when the article was posted, the path the post took to get to your usenet server, the reply-to address, and any other relevant information about the post. Header of usenet messages usually contain the exact information that you need to understand what the post is about. Think of it as a subject line of an email, where it normally contains the information as to what the message will be about as well as a number in most cases for corresponding messages that are sent alongside with it.
