The main reason you will receive this error is if you are using the incorrect member Id and/or password.
Please verify you are using the correct member Id and password.  Please remember that if you are a Paypal and/or Premium account subscriber, your account will begin with a "p".

Another reason you might be getting this error is because of you are using an incorrect nntp address or port.

IMPORTANT: We are moving our users on the news.newsdemon.com nntp address to the Premium or European Server farms. If you have been moved already, you should have received an email with notification you will need to change your username to include a 'p' in front of your normal username.

If you received this email and are being moved, you will need to use either the European or Premium Server clusters listed below!

Standard Routing Ports for PREMIUM SERVERS:
The following ports allow you to force packets through specific ports:

• europe.newsdemon.com port(s): 119, 443 and 8080
• useast.newsdemon.com port(s): 119, 443 and 8080
• us-secure.newsdemon.com * (THIS IS 256-BIT ENCRYPTED) port(s): 563, 80 and 81
• europe-ssl.newsdemon.com * (THIS IS 256-BIT ENCRYPTED) port(s): 563, 80 and 81

Standard Routing Ports for NORTH AMERICAN SERVER (discontinued):

This server farm is being scaled out. If you were asked to add a 'p' to the front of your username, you WILL NOT use this server farm. Please see the IMPORTANT NOTE above.
