Description: Electronic Prepress topics

I would very much like to see a newsgroup related to the prepress
industry, This would serve the needs of the color trade shops, service
bureaus and commercial printers who are integrating electronics
technology. It would support multiple platforms including Unix (Sun &
SGI), Mac, and Windows. It would also offer support for scanners and
imagesetters.

                                RESULT
 	           comp.publish.prepress unmoderated

This is the report of the vote result regarding the proposed creation
of an unmoderated newsgroup comp.publish.prepress.

 Yes No : 2/3? >100? : Pass? : Group
---- ---- : ---- ----- : ----- : -------------------------------------------
 360 24 : Yes Yes : Yes : comp.publish.prepress

There were 3 abstentions; 387 valid ballots were received and counted.

A group requires at least twice as many yes as no votes and at least
100 more yes than no votes. Accordingly there will now be a 5 day
waiting period; if no serious irregularities come to light
comp.publish.prepress will be created shortly thereafter by the
moderator of news.announce.newgroups.

This result will also be posted to several mailing lists (possibly in
truncated form, without the voter list):
  [email protected], [email protected],
  QUARKXPR%[email protected], [email protected]
