This is not a Call for Votes (CFV); you cannot vote at this time. Procedural details are below. Newsgroup lines: sci.med.nursing.emergency	Emergency nursing and nursing care. sci.med.nursing.misc	Science, art, and practice of nursing. sci.med.nursing.student	Student nursing and nursing care. RATIONALE: all groups Sci.med.nursing is an unmoderated newsgroup dedicated to the art and science of nursing. It currently generates approximately 200 messages per day. The group has been ripe for a split for some time now, many users have asked for a separate group for the discussion of topics related to emergency nursing and another for student nursing. CHARTER: sci.med.nursing.emergency A discussion group dedicated to emergency nursing. Possible topics include: * Triage * Emergency life support * Pediatric trauma * General ER techniques and patient care * Hospital ER policies * Continuing emergency education Commercial ads not _directly_ related to emergency nursing are not allowed. Commercial ads not _directly_ related to student nursing are not allowed. END CHARTER. CHARTER: sci.med.nursing.misc Replacing sci.med.nursing, this group would be dedicated to all other forms of nursing and nursing care. Possible topics are all but unlimited and may include: * Nursing theory * Practical nursing applications * Sexual harassment / violence in the workplace * Clinical problems / solutions * Medication problems / solutions * Ethical issues in nursing Commercial ads not _directly_ related to nursing are not allowed. END CHARTER. MODERATOR INFO: all groups Currently, sci.med.nursing is unmoderated. We have had little problem from spammers and prefer to deal with them by private email complaints. Therefore all three proposed groups would have no moderation. END MODERATOR INFO. PROCEDURE: This is a request for discussion, not a call for votes. In this phase of the process, any potential problems with the proposed newsgroups should be raised and resolved. The discussion period will continue for a minimum of 21 days (starting from when the first RFD for this proposal is posted to news.announce.newgroups), after which a Call For Votes (CFV) will be posted by a neutral vote taker. Please do not attempt to vote until this happens. All discussion of this proposal should be posted to news.groups. This RFD attempts to comply fully with the Usenet newsgroup creation guidelines outlined in "How to Create a New Usenet Newsgroup" and "How to Format and Submit a New Group Proposal". Please refer to these documents (available in news.announce.newgroups) if you have any questions about the process.
