This is due in part to advances in computer hardware and software that have made it possible to model complex electromagnetic field problems.  It is also due to the proliferation of radio frequency  devices and high speed digital circuits that are both sources and  receivers of electromagnetic energy.    Keeping up with all of the latest advances and discoveries in this area is a challenge.
