The purpose of this group will be to discuss issues surrounding the
American College of Radiology - National Electrical Manufacturers
(ACR-NEMA) standard for Digital Imaging and Communications in
Medicine (DICOM). This standard represents the next step beyond the
ACR-NEMA version 2 standard released in 1988.
Postings will include information about progress of the development
of the standard, and issues concerning implementation of the
standard. Periodic postings will be made explaining how to obtain
the latest versions of the available chapters, as well as
information related to demonstrations of the standard at the RSNA meeting.
