  I would like to call for a discussion on the 
Creation of the following new newsgroups.

     SCI.EOSDIS.Data.Formats
     SCI.EOSDIS.news
     SCI.EOSDIS.Graphics

EOSDIS stands for Earth Observing System Distributed Information
System.  There are currently hundreds of programmers and science
people, working on what could be the largest distributed computer
system in the world.  NASA is putting forth a great effort to build
this system.  Currently there is not a means for discussion of ideas
on the net that centers on the issues of EOSDIS.  This project has
some very unique requirements that need to be adddressed in this type
of forum.
