CALL FOR DISCUSSION
---------------------------------------------------------
Name: soc.culture.yugoslavia
I am proposing a creation of a new newsgroup for discussion of
the following subjects:
- culture and cultural heritage of nations and nationalities
in Yugoslavia
- social and economical issues of Yugoslavia
- current and past politicial situations
- languages used on Yugoslav territory
- relationsip between various nations in Yugoslavia
- relationship between Yugoslavia and its neighbours
- sport and other events in Yugoslavia
- everything else pertaining to Yugoslavia
* articles can be posted in any language used in Yugoslavia
as well as any official UN language
* the newsgroup will NOT be MODERATED
It is hard to wake up in the morning and not being certain
whether the country of one's origin still exists. It would
be much easier if people discussed the issues in the open
forum. Yugoslavia has a lot to offer. It is a diverse millieu,
heterogeneous society of people with vast historical differences
who nevertheless managed to survive in one union for last
seventy years. Let us then open all the unanswered questions
and explore all the avenues of our differencies and at the same
time educate other nations about our selves. Why do we claim
there is no Yugoslav language? Why do we claim Adriatic sea
to be one of the most beautiful seas in the world? Why is
Yugoslavia home to three large religions? Let us interact
directly with those who are currently in Yugoslavia as well
as with each other.
