Our Commitment
NewsDemon takes copyright seriously. We are fully compliant with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 and maintain a current registration with the U.S. Copyright Office (listed in the Directory of Service Provider Agents).
When we receive a valid DMCA notice, we act on it promptly. Infringing content is removed as quickly as possible, and customers who violate our Terms of Service by posting infringing material may have their accounts permanently suspended.
Who Can Submit a Notice
Under the DMCA, only the copyright holder or an authorized agent acting on their behalf may submit a takedown notice. If you have found content on our service that you believe infringes your copyright and you are not the copyright holder or an authorized agent, please forward the information to the appropriate copyright holder.
How to Submit a DMCA Notice
To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, your notice must include all of the following:
1. Identification. Your name and your relationship to the copyrighted work (copyright holder, authorized agent, etc.). Include contact information (email, phone, or mailing address).
2. Article Message-IDs. The specific Usenet Message-IDs for the articles you want removed. Message-IDs are the unique identifiers for individual Usenet articles (they look like <random-string@domain>). Without Message-IDs, we cannot locate and remove specific content.
3. Statement of authority. A clear statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright holder or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright holder.
4. Signature. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright holder or authorized agent.

What Happens After You Submit
Once we receive a properly formatted DMCA notice, we will remove the identified articles from our servers as quickly as possible. If the infringing content was posted by a NewsDemon customer, that customer's posting privileges (and potentially their account) will be suspended in accordance with our Terms of Service.
We will respond to the submitter via email once we have completed our investigation and taken action.
Important Notes
NewsDemon provides access to Usenet, a decentralized network. Content posted to Usenet propagates to thousands of servers operated by many different organizations worldwide. Removing content from NewsDemon's servers does not remove it from the rest of the Usenet network. Takedown requests for content on other providers' servers must be directed to those providers individually.
We only respond to DMCA notices from verified copyright holders or their authorized agents. Notices from third parties who do not hold the copyright will not be acted upon.
