Answer The 'host/per-user connection limit reached' message is related to the number of simultaneous connections your newsreader is attempting to make with our news server. Please check your newsreader client settings to ensure it is set for 10 or 20 or 50 or less simultaneous connections/sessions, depending on your account. If you use News Rover, you can check this on the 'Configure' menu, 'Server' tab at the bottom left you will find "Max Connections To Server". Please make sure you have assigned your number of connections in this format.

Subscribed Newsgroups: 5 or 10 or 25
Auto Scan: 5 or 20 or 25
Total: 10 or 20 or 50

and hit OK.

For Premium Account users max connections should be set to: 10

For Premium Account users with 20 max connections should be set to: 20

For Premium with SSL account users max connections should be set to: 50

If the problem still persists, please try the suggestion below:

Set the number of maximum connections in your newsreader client to one. This will greatly reduce the chances of our server detecting more than 10 or 20 or 50. Then, try increasing them one by one up until you reach the 10 or 20 or 50 connections your account allows.

Premium and SSL account users:
Please try switching the server address and also try changing ports to:

For Non SSL:
europe.newsdemon.com on NNTP ports: 119 or 443 or 8080
useast.newsdemon.com on NNTP ports: 119 or 443 or 8080.
